By today, you must have seen the news of the horrible earthquake in Japan for innumerable times. But this exhibition, with the photographs taken by UW students and Madison residents, is a little different. How beautiful the affected areas were? How did the disaster change the people's lives there? How do the people keep hope alive after the tsunami swept everything away? Through the eyes and voices of your friends, we invite you to experience the earthquake in a more personal way.
Co-Sponsored by East Asian Language and Literature Department, Center for East Asian Studies, and International Student Service.
Co-Funded by ASM Event Grant and Wisconsin Experience Grant.
The reception on 22nd features short talks by Professor Steve Ridgely and a graduate student in history Anne Giblin.
